Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Travel for Kibale National Park

Early breakfast and  pickup by our company guide driving to Kibale National Park, home to several families of primates including habituated chimpanzees. It has 11 species of primates, including many families of chimps and colobus monkeys among others and over 300 bird species. Overnight at the Ndali Lodge/Primates Lodge/Rwenzori.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking Safari

Early in the morning, have breakfast and proceed to Kibale National park headquarters for briefing from a park ranger. Tracking will begin and last for about 3hrs get back by mid noon. Chimpanzee safari in Kibale forest national park will thrill you; look out for primates like the colobus monkeys, families of chimps, a diversity of birds and an abundance of butterflies and other tropical insects. Back to the lodge for lunch after which precced to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary a superb ecotourism site established to protect the Magombe swamps-a haven of birds (137 species) and a number of primates. Overnight at the Ndali Lodge/Primates Lodge/Rwenzori.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Early breakfast and get ready to depart for Bwindi impenetrable forests home of the rare mountain gorillas. After a five hour drive through villages, towns, highlands, and grazing lands southwest we get to Bwindi impenetrable forest. The scenic drive take you through the area famed to be the “Switzerland of Africa”, with a stop at the equator for photography and an informative talk as well as lunch en route in Mbarara. Overnight at Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Cammunity Bandas

Day 4: Mountain gorilla trekking

Early morning have breakfast and assemble at the Uganda wild life authority Bwindi headquarters for registering, get walking sticks and group up for pre-trek briefing, and  start the gorilla trek which takes us between 1-6hrs moving through a steeply forested landscape once you meet these intriguing spices, you will spend only one hour with them. Overnight at Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Cammunity Bandas

Day 5: Departure

Have breakfast, and get ready to travel back to Kampala. You will have an enroute lunch and a stopover at the Equator to take some photos, arriving late evening in Kampala late evening.
