VISIT TANZANIA FOR THE ANUAL WILDEBEEST MIGRATION

Tanzania is located in east Africa and proudly homes diverse landscapes, the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro the rooftop of africa, idyllic white-sand beaches and some of the most iconic safari parks on the continent. Safari experiences in Tanzania are authentic, luxurious, and simply unforgettable.

Wildebeest Migration safari

First up is the Serengeti National Park which is an endless savannah of game-filled plains home to the Great Migration from Mara in Kenya. Approximately 1.7 million wildebeest accompanied by 210,000 zebra make the annual pilgrimage around the Serengeti and Masai Mara National Parks in search of fresh rains and green pasture. Because of their repeated movement patterns, it is possible to predict where the herds will be located at particular times of the year.

To the east of the Serengeti is the largest inactive volcanic caldera in the world, named the Ngorongoro Crater. Views down into the crater are breath-taking, and not to be missed. Southern Tanzania, including the Selous and Ruaha National Parks, offers a more “off the beaten track” game viewing experience with fewer visitors. A range of activities are offered here, including boat safaris, bush walks, and fly camping.

For those looking for a more active safari experience, trek through the Mahale mountains in western Tanzania to experience the habituated chimpanzees, or hike through the tropical rainforests in Udzunga National Park to reach the beautiful waterfalls.

For a relaxing end to a thrilling safari, fly over to Zanzibar Island. Zanzibar is a paradise island located off Tanzania’s eastern mainland. The island has something for everyone: colonial history, tropical spice tours, glistening white-sand beaches, exceptional diving spots, lush forests home to black and white colobus monkeys, and much more.
