Uganda Animal Charity is based in Uganda taking care of homeless dogs, cats and other animals also to make sure that every dog and cat should live in a home where they are treated with love, care and respect. At UAC we re-home dogs and cats, reunite them with their owners and we work in the community to educate people about responsible ownership. We aim never to turn away a dog or cat in need, and we turn helplessness into hope for over 1,000 dogs and cats every year.
Uganda Animal Charity is responsible for delivering the highest standards of animal welfare and care for every dog and cat in their journey through the Home, from reception, to intake, to assessment and then to re-homing. The main purpose of this role is to work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioral training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organizations from Africa and rest of the world. To work with the Home’s Commercial and Learning & Development teams to identify, develop and deliver internal and commercial training programmers to staff, volunteers and external customers.
