4-Days Bwindi Flying Gorilla Safari
Overview
This 4-day Bwindi flying gorilla safari is similar to the other safaris in Bwindi Forest National Park. However, it includes taking a chartered flight from Entebbe to Bwindi National Park rather than driving for 8–9 hours. The safari includes trekking with gorillas, the world’s largest primates.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Hotel Transfer.
When you arrive at Entebbe Airport, one of our staff members from Gecko Safaris Africa will greet you and bring you to your resort to begin your Flying safari.
Day 2: Fly to Bwindi.
After an early breakfast, our guide will pick you up for your flight to Kihihi airfield, where our ground guide will meet you and bring you to your hotel near the Bwindi Forest National Park. Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi.
Breakfast will be provided very early in the morning, and your guide will be ready to drive you to the park for a briefing and guidance on tracking procedures. This is an exciting moment since everyone is eager to go hiking.
When you arrive in the forest, the hiking begins, and you will have to go throughout Bwindi Forest National Park in search of gorillas, which are undoubtedly animals. Gorillas in Bwindi Forest National Park are a must-see since their movements are closely monitored by Bwindi Forest rangers. After seeing them, you have a maximum of one hour. Remember, these are animals, so you advised to stay away from them 6 meters.
After tracking, your guide will be waiting for you at the park yard, and then you will be transferred back to your lodge.
