Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, depart at 7 a.m. for the transfer to Serengeti National Park, traveling through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Olduvai Gorge, where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the early man’s skull. Continue to the Serengeti for a thrilling afternoon of wildlife viewing.

This spectacular destination boasts limitless savannah plains rich with wildlife, including the Big Five: buffalo, elephants, lions, leopards, and rhinos, as well as large herds of wildebeest, gazelles, and zebras.

Day 2: Full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park.

The day is spent on a long game drive across Serengeti National Park, with opportunities to see wildlife in the morning and afternoon. The vast Serengeti-Mara environment is home to the legendary yearly Great Migration, in which millions of wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and hundreds of Thomson’s gazelles cross the crocodile-infested Grumeti and Mara rivers to the Maasai Mara and return.

Witnessing this stunning occurrence, which would need additional days in Serengeti National Park, is especially rewarding. The park also has uncommon antelope species such as the roan antelope, klipspringer, lesser kudu, dik-dik, and fringe-eared oryx, as well as 500 different bird species.

Returning to camp for a relaxing evening under the stars.  (Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3: Final game drive in Serengeti National Park, then transfer to Arusha.

Enjoy breakfast before heading out on a final game drive into the Serengeti’s wide savannahs in search of further wildlife watching possibilities. Afterward, return to Arusha.
