Overview
3Days Samburu National Reserve safari takes you to the Samburu National Reserve in Kenya’s Rift Valley district. The game drives take you to rare animal species found only in the park, such as the long-necked gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa onyx, as well as over 350 bird species such as vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches, and many others.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi-Samburu National reserve.
Our driver guide will take you up from your hotel or the airport at 07:30 hrs and drive you north to Samburu National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at the designated lodge or campsite. After lunch, embark on an afternoon wildlife drive from 16:00 hrs till sunset.
Dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Sopa resort, Samburu Simba Lodge, or any similar resort.
Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve.
This day will be spent touring this wonderful game reserve, including morning and afternoon game drives. You might also choose to see the cultural attractions in the region. Samburu Game Reserve has a wide variety of attractions. It is home to the Samburu people, who also practice pastoralism. The Owasso Nyiro River, which flows along the southern boundary, is home to crocodiles and hippos, as well as many other creatures that come to drink during the day.
Wildlife in Samburu includes buffaloes, leopards, lions, cheetahs, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffes, and other plains animals.
Dinner and overnight stay at Samburu Sopa resort, Samburu Simba Lodge, or any similar resort.
Day 3: Departure.
You will go on an early morning wildlife drive and then return to the resort for breakfast. Later, check out and head for Nairobi, stopping for lunch along the road and arriving late afternoon. Drop off at the hotel or airport to catch your journey home.
