Overview
3-Days Samburu flying safari or elephant bedroom camp flying tour takes you from Wilson Airport in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital and largest city, to Samburu National Reserve, a wildlife reserve located on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River. On this safari, you are certain to view the majority of the park’s species, including cheetahs, lions, leopards, impalas, buffaloes, hippos, and dik-diks, as well as the local gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffes, and Beisa oryx.
Samburu National Reserve is located around 345 kilometers from Nairobi. It is accessible by air, with regular flights from Nairobi to the park’s airport (Samburu). The park also offers a variety of activities such as game viewing, which allows you to see numerous species of wildlife, and bird watching, which allows you to see vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches, and many others.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Transfer to Wilson Airport for your planned trip to the country’s north. You will drive through beautiful farmlands and catch glimpses of Mount Kenya’s glaciered slopes before falling down to the desert plains of the north and the Samburu Game Reserve.
When you arrive, you will be greeted and transported to Larsen’s Camp for a one-night stay that includes everything. Every meal and two game drives are provided. Larsen’s is a tiny, evocative tented camp.
Day 2: Game drives at Samburu National Reserve.
The guest enjoys a morning and late afternoon game watching, with a lunch break at the camp and an afternoon at leisure. Samburu is north of the central mountains and the equator. This intriguing dry reserve is home to Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, oryx, gerenuk, Somali ostrich, and dik dik.
You also have a good possibility of spotting lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants. The Samburu reserve is picturesque, with spectacular rocky outcrops, amazing Domas palms, and the shaded Ewaso Nyiro River, which serves as the reserve’s life stream.
Day 3: Transfer back to Nairobi.
Transfer to Samburu Airport for a lovely journey back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport for your relocation or program.
