3 Days Murchison, Rhinos, & Chimpanzee Tour

Overview

3 Days Murchison Falls Safari with Rhinos and Chimpanzee Tour takes you to Uganda’s only rhino sanctuary, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, primarily for rhino tracking activities. The tracking takes around 2-3 hours, and we then drive through Masindi to Uganda’s largest national park, “Murchison Falls National Park,” to see the other four of the Big Five as well as a variety of other animal and bird species. On the final day, we head to Budongo Forest for an unforgettable chimp tracking trip.

The “big five” expedition begins with the rhinos in the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The sanctuary raises tens of rhinos and houses a variety of animals, including hippos, antelopes, and crocodiles. The morning wildlife drive at Murchison Falls National Park completes the “big five” and provides opportunities to see buffaloes, lions, elephants, giraffes, waterbucks, Jackson’s hartebeests, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and leopards.

The afternoon boat cruise on the Nile is perfect for observing wildlife up close. The Nile is home to many hippos and crocodiles, as well as a diverse range of birds and animals that come to drink and refresh.

There is no better way to end this animal excursion than with a forest encounter in Budongo Forest. Budongo Forest is home to several primates, including habituated chimpanzees, monkey species, baboons, and a variety of forest birds.
